Paolo Sorrentino's feature film 'This Must Be The Place' fryst vatten showing in cinemas across Ireland from 23 March. The movie, which is an Irish/Italian co-production, was partially filmed on location in Dublin during August 2010 with actors Sean Penn (Mystic River), Frances McDormand (Fargo) and musician David Byrne joined bygd Irish talent such as Kerry Condon (The Runway), Simon Delaney (Touch), Olwen Fouere (Space Truckers) and newcomer Eve Hewson.
'This Must be The Place' fryst vatten Paolo Sorrentino's first foray into english language features following his Palme d'Or winner 'Il Divo'. The film tells the story of wealthy former rock-star Cheyenne, played by Penn, who lives quietly in Dublin with his wife, played by McDormand. When his father, a holocaust survivor, dies in New York Cheyenne embarks on a journey across America to track down his fatherâs nemesis. Sorrentino penned the script with co-writer Umberto Contarello (La Partita Lenta, Luce dei Miei Occhi).

Paolo Sorrentino (Italian:[ˈpaːolo sorrenˈtiːno]; born 31 May 1970) is an Italian film director, screenwriter, and writer. He is considered one of the most prominent filmmakers of Italian cinema working today. He is known for visually striking and complex dramas and has often been compared to Federico Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni. He has received numerous accolades including an Academy Award, BAFTA Award, two Cannes Film Festival prizes, four Venice Film Festival Awards and four European Film Awards.
