    The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Nong Duc Manh, onMay 18 received visiting leader of Mexico ’s Labour Party (LP) Alberto Anaya andhis delegation in Hanoi.

    At the meeting, the LP President, SenatorAnaya warmly congratulated Vietnam on great achievements the country made overthe past years. He expressed his strong belief that under the CPV’s leadership,Vietnam will soon become an industrialised and strong country with wealthypeople and a democratic, equal and civilised society.

    Anaya affirmed hewould continue doing his best to strengthen and develop the relations betweenthe two parties, states and peoples.

    Ha Noi, Nov. 17 (VNA) -- National Assembly Chairman Nong Duc Manh has highlighted the active role of US congressmen, including Senator John Kerry, in the improvement of relations between Viet Nam and the United States of America.

    Mr. Manh expressed his appreciation while receiving on Nov. 17 a US congressional delegation who accompany President William Jefferson Clinton on his visit to Viet Nam.

    He welcomed the US Congressmen's and the President's current visit to Viet Nam, describing it as an important event in the relationship and cooperation between the two countries.
