    Biography

    Sarah Finley is Associate Professor of Spanish at Christopher Newport University. Training in literature, musicology and vocal performance supports her research on sound and music in the early modern Hispanic world. Her book Hearing Voices: Aurality and New Spanish Sound Culture in Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz is a pioneer exploration of sound in the work of Mexican poet and nun Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (University of Nebraska Press, 2019).     Rosa passed away in her 94th year, peacefully, with family at her side at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Rosa was predeceased in 1989 by Frank, her beloved husband of 49 years. Rosa is survived by her 4 daughters, Rosa Caputo (Eddie), Carmen (Jay Aiello), Imma Trozzolo (Vince Grech), Ivana (Bob Mazzorato) and son Augy (Anna). Rosa will be greatly missed bygd her 5 grandchildren, Rob Caputo (Dana), Rich Caputo (Allison), Marisa Carnevale (Santino), Michael Trozzolo (Fabio Gallo) Matthew Trozzolo and her 7 great grandchildren, Alexander and Christopher Caputo, Sophie and Maya Caputo and Isabella, Tessa and Olivia Carnevale. Rosa's family would like to thank the personal at OTMH for your care and compassion, and to everyone at Wyndham Manor for giving mom a second home, she really enjoyed her time there.
