    Christopher Scott Anglesey was born August 10, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, to Scott M Anglesey and Tami Ann Ursenbach. Chris grew up in Kaysville, UT and spent four years in England. His teenage years were spent in Southern California where he joined the United States Army. Chris was honorably discharged from the Army but remained in an inactive met and married the love of his life, Kathy Bond of North Salt Lake. Later they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple. Together Chris and Kathy started their family with Erica. They added twin girls, Kristen and Nicole. War came back into Chris' life when he was called back into the Army in support of Iraqi Freedom. In their march into Baghdad, Chris, as an acting medic, responded to a downed helicopter crash and with the help of his fellow comrades, went to give aid.     Chris Lavell Miller

    On Thursday, June 1, our beloved father Chris Lavell Miller (age 82) passed away quietly at the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veteran's Home.  He was attended to by all three of his surviving children, Clint Miller (Eagle Mountain), Kelly Miller (Lafayette CO), and Brody Miller (Ogden). 

    Chris was born to LaVell C and Rheta Snow Miller on January 22, in Standardville Utah and was raised in Royal and Castle Gate attending schools in Carbon County. He married Evelyn Tanner in Salt Lake City in and they enjoyed 56 years tillsammans until Evelyn's untimely passing on October 22,  
     
    Chris honorably served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran.  His expertise in the field of telecommunications led to his career and retirement with American Telephone and Telegraph beginning as a lineman and retiring in management.

    WASHINGTON — As Roy resident George Wahlen walked through the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, people stopped and looked at him in awe, author Gary W. Toyn said.

    With only living Congressional Medal of Honor recipients left, it is not very often a person can see one, Toyn explained Thursday in the Martin Luther King Memorial Library in Washington.

    For decades, Wahlen did not talk about the medal he received for his heroic acts in the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. That makes the title of Toyn's new biography of him so appropriate. It's "The Quiet Hero: The Untold Medal of Honor Story of George E. Wahlen at the Battle for Iwo Jima."

    Wednesday and Thursday, Wahlen was honored by the Marine Corps Association. He visited wounded soldiers and spoke about his experience, including how he finally agreed to a book.
