Riccardo De Cal: Into the Labyrinth — architetture veneziane
Riccardo De Cal presents his exhibition Into the Labyrinth at Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice, Italy. The exhibition will include 20 photographs, primarily selected from De Cal's new publication Dream of Venice Architecture. Inspired by novelist Jorge Luis Borges's statement that the maze, "is a building built to confuse people," De Cal has created an interior environment of metal armatures, audio recordings and photography. Designed by Melissa Siben, the exhibit is a modern three-dimensional representation of the labyrinthine structure of the city of Venice.

Beyond the Classroom
Beyond the Classroom showcases the talents of area K-12 teachers through artworks they have created outside the classroom. These artworks, which range in material, technique and style, show us how impactful it can be for teachers to be practicing artists themselves. Through the process of art-making, these teachers become even greater role models for their students as they demonstrate first-hand the power of imagination and creativity. President Barack Obama stated: “The future belongs to young people with an education and the imagination to create.” It is the teachers represented in this exhibition that provide young people with tools for the future—creativity, problem solving skills, imagination,and much more.
